Student Policies

Full details are available in the Student Handbook

What are the attendance requirements?

Students are expected to complete all required online coursework, attend scheduled live workshops, and participate in all practical training. Missed workshops may require a make-up session before graduation.

How many training hours are required?

The Comprehensive Teacher Training Program consists of approximately 500 hours, including online study, live instruction, observation, self-practice, practice teaching, and assessments.

How long do I have to complete the program?

Most students complete the program within 9 to 12 months, although completion time may vary depending on individual progress and scheduling.

What are the graduation requirements?

Students must complete all required coursework, approximately 500 hours, observation and teaching requirements, pass all written and practical examinations, and demonstrate professional competency.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are available according to the published Tuition and Refund Policy. Students should review this policy before enrolling. A $500 deposit is required to reserve your spot and is non-refundable 1 month prior to start date.

What does the exam consist of?

1. Written Exam = Students must successfully complete written examinations covering anatomy, biomechanics, Pilates principles, exercise knowledge, teaching methodology, and safety.

2. Practical Exam - Before graduation, students must successfully demonstrate their teaching ability through a practical competency evaluation with a qualified instructor.

Students who do not demonstrate competency may be required to complete additional study or practical training before being re-evaluated.

What equipment will I need?

Students should have regular access to a Pilates Reformer and Mat for practice. Access to additional apparatus is required during the Comprehensive portion of the program.

Why is this program 500 hours?

Our curriculum is designed to exceed minimum educational standards by combining anatomy, biomechanics, online learning, live workshops, observation, self-practice, supervised teaching, and competency-based assessments to prepare confident, professional Pilates instructors.

What certification will I receive upon graduation?

Students who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a BetterBody Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Certificate. Completion of this program does not automatically grant NPCP Certification. It is designed to prepare graduates with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to confidently pursue the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) examination, provided they meet all NPCP eligibility requirements.
